SAMO Incoming Connections: Dynamic vs. Hybrid Integration

SAMOIntegrationsCache

Many incoming travel agencies and DMCs run their hotel contracts, allotments and transfers on SAMO Incoming. For a buyer, whether a tour operator, an online travel agency or a B2B platform, that system is a direct line to the best hotel-only rates in the destination. The real question is not whether to connect to SAMO Incoming but how. At Kharon, we build SAMO Incoming integrations in two ways, dynamic and hybrid, and each one fits a different business model.

Dynamic integration: live search, calculate and book

In a dynamic integration, every operation is passed to SAMO Incoming in real time. A search request goes straight to the partner's system. The selected offer is then calculated with its current price and conditions, and the booking is confirmed directly in SAMO Incoming. Once the booking is made, we create reservation tracking on your side, so confirmations, changes and cancellations stay in sync.

With this connection, the customer linked to SAMO Incoming can search and book instantly, with prices that come straight from the incoming agency's own contracts. Incoming agencies usually hold the best hotel-only rates in their destinations. That makes a dynamic connection especially valuable for dynamic packaging and hotel-only sales. Its goal is simple: the fastest and most accurate hotel or hotel + transfer prices.

Hybrid integration: cached prices, live booking

A hybrid integration works differently. First, we download the core definition data required to make a booking, such as hotels, room and board types and transfer routes. Next, the price data for hotels and transfers is downloaded and calculated. The result of this calculation is a cache of ready-to-sell prices.

All searches run on this cache. SAMO Incoming XML Gate is used only during the booking step. This means individual searches are no longer sent to the SAMO Incoming partner. The partner's system is protected from heavy search traffic, and your search results stay fast even at peak times.

Turn your cache into an export

The hybrid model has one more advantage. The calculated price data becomes a cache that can be exported and shared with partners whenever needed, for example as price-calculated flat files for tour operators, B2B portals or other sales channels. You calculate once and distribute everywhere. To learn more about why caching pays off, read Cache is Cash!.

Dynamic or hybrid: which one fits you?

Choose a dynamic integration if you need live prices on every search, sell dynamic packages or hotel-only products, and want availability straight from the source.

Choose a hybrid integration if you handle high search volumes, need very fast response times, want to reduce the load on your SAMO Incoming partner, or plan to share prices with other partners as exports.
